OFFICIAL: Former Virtus Bologna Player Nico Mannion Signs with Olimpia Milano

MARKET UPDATE: Former Virtus Bologna player Nico Mannion has signed a multi-year contract with Olimpia Milano.

Nico Mannion is changing teams once again. The Italian playmaker, who left Segafredo Virtus Bologna in the summer of 2023, is parting ways with Openjobmetis Varese after less than a year (December 21, 2023) and has signed a multi-year contract with Olimpia Milano. Before joining the club in Masnago, the 2001-born player spent several months in Spain with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

During his time with Virtus Bologna, Mannion averaged 8.8 points (51.2% from two, 39.9% from three, and 80.9% from the free-throw line), along with 1.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game over 54 Serie A matches (from 2021 to 2023). In the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, he averaged 5.9 points (37.5% from two, 38.2% from three, and 86.4% from the free-throw line), 1.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. In the 7DAYS EuroCup, his averages were 2.1 points (16.7% from two, 23.1% from three, and 57.1% from the free-throw line), 1.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
